Description
The 3D HoofCare Ed Eclipse Hoof Pad is a lightweight pad for racing and speed where weight may be a concern. This pad is designed to stop the frog from descending to the ground through peripheral loading of the hoof wall that results in sore heels and possible corns. Sold as pair.
The 2-degree angled wedge pad can be used to artificially raise the hoof angle when conformation or injury needs assistance when the hoof angle is low relative to the pastern angle.
The 3D HoofCare Ed Eclipse Hoof Pad helps horses that need bony column support, such as laminitic horses, and help the frog to share a portion of the load, reducing that placed on other areas of the hoof. The pad also helps maintain the position of the frog relative to other structures of the hoof. It was designed in collaboration with Ed O’Shaughnessy from Newmarket in the United Kingdom.

Two of my owners insisted so we tried them and its clear recovery after hard work is faster. Plus other farriers are starting to use these so I’ve just ordered in bulk so my farrier has no excuses! I’m surprised other retailers haven’t got with the times.

I love this Hoof Pad! It is so lightweight I’m sure she doesn’t even notice . I have noticed a difference in my horse simply because she is no longer sore after work. To be honest, I didn’t realise this was an issue so easy to fix.

The Hoof Pad stops my horse’s frog slumping to the ground, which prevents tissue damage and pain from hoof peripheral loading. I’m just repeating what my farrier said but I sound like an infomercial. Seriously though, would buy again but now my farrier is stocking it. I hope he buys it from you guys cos it was flawless service. I would definitely recommend this product. gawd, I need to stop watching infomercials!

I’m a farrier of 26 years. A lot of my work is within harness racing. Ditching the usual brand. Yours is lighter and cheaper but it works. The better price is important but, to be honest, I’d pay extra because this pad is just so quick and easy, especially with the smaller horses the trimming excess saves me time.

It did what it said it would. Took a few weeks but you can’t get better than that. Back again to buy again.

Thanks for your advice on what to choose. The lightweight option definitely better for dressage. Looks sleeker too.

I think I chose the wrong one. The half mesh would’ve given more protection on my rocky ground. Not a racehorse. but still good support though so happy.

The farriers behind this product are legends in international racing so I expected good results. As a farrier myself I’m not disappointed. Except that I didn’t see I should have contacted you first for trade prices for farriers. Will do that for the next order!

I’m so happy I found this hoof pad! I was having trouble finding a lightweight hoof pad that would still provide good support that was easy enough for my husband to fit when shoeing. My horse isn’t a pro athlete! Lol. But she clocks up the ks cos my whole family (I have 5 kids) loves the old nag every day of the week! 🙂

I didn’t see that they come as pair so I bought 2 now I have 4. Happy to have spares but others should be aware. I guess that makes them half the price! Bargain!
