Description
3D HoofCare HoofCast is a resin impregnated mesh casting material that is an affordable and user-friendly option for the treatment of hoof problems where support and protection are needed.
3D HoofCare HoofCast provides protection from wear, helps strengthen and stabilize the hoof capsule and is excellent for therapeutic applications. It is wrapped dry with the help of adhesive holding the first layer, then wetted to activate the resin and cure it.
3D HoofCare HoofCast is a product that is used to efficiently protect and aid a compromised foot. HoofCast consists of a lightweight fiberglass cloth that when impregnated with water, activates a resin that will make it into a strong reinforcement for a hoof that has been compromised due to excess shoeing.
A regular horseshoe can be nailed onto this reinforced wall repeatedly without affecting the compromised hoof wall. It also used as a protection and reinforcement for thin walled horses to transition to barefoot effectively.

When cured these are easier to rasp than other casts I’ve used. Sure, I’m a neat freak, but it also stays cleaner as a result.

Better than I thought. Happy.

If you’re wanting to buy these you should know you don’t have to use additional glue. I’ve used both with and without but I do prefer to use the equilox for longevity between visits.

Absolute bargain. the last 2 I’ve used on compromised hooves (different horses) have been going months and still show no signs of damage. I reckon they’d go 4 months if the hoof didn’t grow out.

These last longer than other casts so I’d pay a bit extra to be honest. There’s no point using a cast that doesn’t last til the next visit. Just causes trouble. These are great.

I love that it goes on dry as a flexible bandage and only starts to cure once you apply water. Much easier than the ones I used to use which were messy and started curing as soon as the pack was opened. Will definitely buy again.

does a great job with the hoofpads. I use the halfmesh and the hoofcast because they are a great protection combo.

did what it said it would.

Don’t use too much glue. because it conforms to the shape of the hoof it stays put just fine. If you use the amount of glue you’d use for other casts, it’ll be harder to take off because it also lasts longer before breaking down.
